Terms of Service

Effective date: October 13, 2026

These are the terms for using theequipmentmanuals.com. When we say "we," "us" or "our," we mean The Equipment Manuals. When we say "the Site," we mean this website and everything you buy or access through it. By using the Site, you're agreeing to these terms. They're not short, but please read them. They cover what you're paying for and what you're allowed to do with it.

1. Ground Rules

You need to be at least 18 to use the Site and old enough to sign a contract where you live. If you're buying for a business, you're telling us you have the authority to do that.

Please don't:

  • use the Site for anything illegal
  • copy, resell or share our manuals or any other part of the Site
  • remove watermarks or try to get around previews, download limits or other access controls
  • use bots, scrapers or any automated tool to grab content
  • try to hack, overload or break the Site, or upload anything harmful
  • file chargebacks or PayPal disputes in bad faith

If you do any of these, we can suspend or close your account without a refund. In serious cases, we may also take legal action.

2. What You Can Buy

You can buy individual manuals. These are digital files, so nothing is shipped. Once your payment clears, the manual shows up in your account, ready to download.

You can also subscribe, which gives you access to every manual in our subscription library. The plans, prices and billing periods are on our pricing page.

Every manual has a free preview of its first 5 pages, watermarked. You can look at it online but can't download it. To read or download the whole manual, you need to buy it or have an active subscription. There's no free trial.

The catalog changes. We add manuals, sometimes remove them, and update features. We can't promise any particular manual will always be available.

3. Payments, Renewals and Cancelling

When you buy a single manual, you pay once and that's it. Nothing renews.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the current price, until you cancel. You can cancel whenever you like, either in your PayPal account or by emailing info@theequipmentmanuals.com. You'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

If we change the subscription price, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before it applies to your next renewal. If you don't want to pay the new price, just cancel before the renewal date.

If a subscription payment fails, we may pause or end your access until it's paid.

4. Refunds

Payments are non-refundable except in the cases covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, or where the law says otherwise. Have a look at that policy if you think you might be owed a refund.

5. Who Owns What, and What You Can Do With Your Manuals

The Site itself, including its design, code, logo and our own written content, belongs to us or the people we license it from. The manuals belong to their respective rights holders. Manufacturer and brand names appear on the Site only so you can find the right manual. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer. If you have a copyright concern, see our DMCA and Copyright Policy.

When you buy a manual, or while you're subscribed, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use it. In plain terms, that means you can view and download it for your own reference, or use it inside your own workshop or business to work on equipment you own or look after.

Manuals you bought individually stay in your account. Manuals you downloaded while subscribed are yours to keep and use the same way after your subscription ends. You lose online access to manuals you didn't buy separately once your subscription ends.

What you can't do is pass the manuals on to anyone else, resell them or publish them anywhere.

6. How Payment Works

We take payment through PayPal. Buying a manual authorizes one charge to your PayPal account. Subscribing authorizes repeat charges until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars unless we say otherwise, and taxes may be added. We never see or keep your card or bank details.

7. Safety, and the Limits of Our Responsibility

Working on machinery is dangerous. People get badly hurt or killed, and equipment gets damaged. Manuals can be out of date, incomplete, translated, written for a slightly different machine, or just wrong in places. Before you rely on any procedure, torque value, spec or safety step, check it's right for your machine, and always work safely. If you're unsure, get a qualified technician to look at it.

We provide the Site and every manual "as is" and "as available." We don't make any promises or warranties, express or implied, that the content is accurate, complete, fit for any particular purpose, merchantable or non-infringing, or that the Site will always work without interruptions, errors or security problems. Some places don't allow these disclaimers, so some of this may not apply to you.

As far as the law allows, The Equipment Manuals and its owners, employees and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, data, use or goodwill, or for any injury or property damage that comes from using or relying on the Site or any manual. If we are found liable for anything, the most we will owe is what you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim came up.

8. Your Account

Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for everything that happens on your account.

One account is for one person. Sharing your login, passing around files you've downloaded or selling access to your account isn't allowed. If you think someone else has got into your account, email us straight away at info@theequipmentmanuals.com.

9. If Something Goes Wrong Because of You, and Ending Your Account

If we face claims, losses or costs, including reasonable legal fees, because you broke these terms, misused the Site, or broke the law or someone else's rights, you agree to cover them and hold us harmless.

You can stop using the Site and cancel your subscription whenever you want. We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we suspect fraud or abuse, if you don't pay, or if we shut down the service. Sections 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11, along with any other parts that naturally should, still apply after your account is closed.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms now and then. The date at the top tells you which version is current. If we make a big change, we'll post a notice on the Site or email you. If you keep using the Site after a change takes effect, you're accepting the new terms.

11. Disputes and Which Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem with us, please email info@theequipmentmanuals.com first and give us at least 30 days to try to sort it out. If we can't, any case has to be brought in the state or federal courts in Hartford, Connecticut, and you agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, DMCA and Copyright Policy and Trademark Disclaimer, are the full agreement between you and us. If a court decides part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still stands. If we don't enforce a rule straight away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms to someone else without our okay, but we can transfer them if the business is sold or merged.
